Lakeside Patients' Participation Group AGM, due Monday 17th October, now cancelled.

- AGM had been re-convened after April meeting cut short

- Patients were due to elect committee and agree Terms of Reference

It has been confirmed this morning that the Lakeside PPG AGM, which was re-convened from April has once again been cancelled. The April meeting was cut short when it became apparent that revised Terms of Reference and nominations for election of committee members and officers had not been sent in advance so that patients could review them.  The current (interim) Chair of the PPG has suggested that those matters can now be discussed at the next AGM, which will return to its pre-Covid usual time in January 2023. A date has yet to be announced.

Sue Prior, former PPG member and BH4S member said “By cancelling the AGM at this late stage, the PPG are eroding any confidence in them by the patients and adding to the negative views of Lakeside”.

We need to hear your voice!

Please let us know your thoughts on healthcare services in and around Stamford so that we can represent you.

BH4S are asking patients and healthcare service users to complete our very short survey, so that we have a clear idea of what is working effectively for you and your family and what is not. It is really important that we hear directly from you, so that we can best represent you. We have had some great successes in our campaign, including our efforts to keep St Mary’s Surgery open. We work!  Follow the link to get to our survey by clicking here

Stamford MP supports BH4S' campaign for joined-up health services plan

Stamford and Grantham MP, Gareth Davies used his precious opportunity to ask a question of the Prime Minister at PMQs to promote the need for an integrated healthcare system in our region. BH4S is campaigning for a unified healthcare system that recognises Stamford’s unique geographical position, bordering four counties. See Gareth’s question and the Prime Minister’s response here.

We care about healthcare!

Patients living in Stamford and the surrounding villages have had a rough deal in healthcare over the past couple of years, quite apart from Covid.

Unacceptable queues just to get through to a surgery reception, let alone get to see a doctor (even online) and a seemingly inaccessible system for appointments.
